~ Documentaries ~ Harvard builds new student housing near the Charles river ~

During the summer of 2005, Harvard starts clearing old growth trees and previously unexcavated land on the Charles River Basin to build four stories of underground parking and a large new dormitory building on a piece of the College campus near the Charles River in Cambridge MA.
And what a huge excavation it is! By Labor Day, 2006, the construction will be complete and students will be moving in.
.. Across the street, more old growth trees are cut down, and a blazing fire on Thanksgiving 2005 destroys a rental house on the construction site burning Gladys Evans, a resident tenant, to death. Off to a great start!
